In what was then Yugoslavia, cult synth duo DENIS & DENIS formed when vivacious vocalist Marina Perazić met synth player Davor Tolja in the Croatian port city of Rijeka in 1982. Out of all the communist states during The Cold War, Yugoslavia was the most liberal. The pioneering German musician Manuel Göttsching sadly passed away peacefully on 4th December 2022 aged 70. During a career spanning over five decades, he released over 30 albums in a variety of guises, working with the likes of Conny Plank, Harald Grosskopf, Lutz Ulbrich and the late Klaus Schulze.
